Study Information
To study the oral health status of children with VI and oral health knowledge, attitude, and practice (OHKAP) of their primary caregivers at Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (Hospital USM), Kubang Kerian, Kelantan.
Specific Objectives
1) To determine the oral hygiene status of VI children.
2) To determine the prevalence of dental caries and caries experience of VI children.
3) To determine the oral health knowledge, attitude, and practice (OHKAP) of primary caregivers of the VI children.
Inclusion & Exclusion Criteria
Inclusion: Age: 7 18 years old
Exclusion: Intellectual disability
Hearing impairment
Physically disable that impaired manual dexterity
Primary caregivers:
Inclusion: Understand Malay
Age: 18 years old and above
Exclusion: Intellectual disability
Hearing impairment / visual impairment
Inclusion: Age: 7 18 years old
Exclusion: Intellectual disability
Hearing impairment
