Study Information
The study shall be conducted in 2 parts to address the various specific objectives of the study:
1. Part 1: Ante-natal clinic based cross sectional study to determine incidence of anemia, and its socio-demographic and clinical determinants
2. Part 2: Clinic based cohort study on a subset of the study subjects in Part 1 above to determine outcomes of pregnancy.

General research objective
To describe the epidemiology of anemia in the Malaysian obstetric population.
Specific research objective(s)
1. To describe the distribution of hemoglobin, and to determine of incidence and prevalence of anemia among pregnant women attending antenatal clinic in Klinik Kesihatan of the MOH
2. To determine the socio-demographic factors and clinical characteristics associated with anemia in this population
